How to upgrade SAP Business One in three simple steps
Get the latest innovations in your solution
SAP Business One is a solution that is in constant development to help SMEs overcome different challenges and stay compliant with new regulations. But once you have got your solution operational and managing vital daily tasks, how do you upgrade SAP Business One to take advantage of any new features or innovations?
Upgrading your system with SEIDOR is pretty straightforward. Follow our three-step tried and tested strategy to get up and running with the latest innovations and enhancements:
1. Scoping
Firstly, you’ll need to speak with your account manager to let them know that you’d like to use the latest version of SAP Business One. One of our Technical Account Managers may also suggest an upgrade if there are features we feel will add value to your operations. After an initial enquiry, we’ll provide an estimation to complete your upgrade based on your system landscape and any applicable add-ons. We can also provide an overview of any specific new features you’d like to take a closer look at. Once your upgrade is booked with our project team, one of our solution architects will complete a system health check and document your upgrade path. The upgrade plan will be confirmed with your assigned project manager and lead consultant.
From here, we’ll make a start on setting up your new system and migrating data to your test environment. This will run parallel to your live system, so there’s no risk or downtime to live operations.
2. UAT & Training
You probably want to upgrade your solution to get your hands on some of the new features and functionality included in each major release of SAP Business One, which can further enhance the productivity and efficiency of your organisation. Whilst your team already knows the processes of core B1 functionality, our experts will make sure your users understand how any new features can be utilised.
Before you go live, you will complete user-acceptance testing to ensure everything is working as expected with your upgraded system. But we’ll be there to support you every step along the way.
3. Go-Live
When everybody has got to grips with the new functionality and features available and UAT is signed off, we will agree on the most convenient date to move you into the last stage of the process. Our team will complete the final go-live of your solution at a convenient time, which minimises the impact on your productivity. Additionally, our SAP Business One support team will be on-hand to support you if any issues arise.
